When it comes to athletic success at the UW, one program stands out, year after year, often without attracting a lot of headlines. The UW women’s soccer program is consistently one of the best in the country, producing PAC-12 stand-outs and Olympic stars. Celebrating the reopening of historic Denny Hall

Last week, the College of Arts & Sciences and Office of External Affairs celebrated the reopening of the UW’s historic Denny Hall. The building underwent extensive restoration beginning in summer 2015 and reopened to students, faculty and staff this autumn. UW regional dental program wins top national award
The UW’s Regional Initiatives in Dental Education (RIDE) program has received a top national award in dental education. This groundbreaking School of Dentistry program began in 2008 and seeks to improve access to dental care in rural and underserved areas of Washington state. On Monday, the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) announced that the UW is the recipient of the 2017 William J. Gies Award for Vision by an Academic Dental Institution. State and local leaders recognize Together UW Day – October 21, 2016
In recognition of the launch of the university’s Be Boundless – For Washington, For the World philanthropic campaign, Governor Jay Inslee, King County Executive Dow Constantine, and City of Spokane Mayor David Condon offered their support in proclamations and a salutation, recognizing October 21, 2016 as “Together UW Day.”
