King and Pierce counties move to “low” CDC community level, masks are recommended
Our University mask policy continues to be guided by CDC’s community level assessment and state and local health guidance. King and Pierce counties are now both in the “low” community level category, meaning masks are recommended inside all University facilities where they are not required.

Children ages 5 to 11 now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine booster (Message to UW Medicine patients)
Based on updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), UW Medicine is now providing a single booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to all children ages 5 to 11 who have completed their primary, two-dose series at least five months prior.
