Out and About around the Husky Globe: Fall 2017

Korea Huskies host their annual gathering

The Husky Night in Korea was back for another year on December 2 in Seoul. The annual chapter-hosted event brought dozen of Korea Huskies together for an evening of socialization, chapter business and recognition of outstanding alumni.

This year, the Korea Huskies got an update from campus on UW’s Korea studies program and the Korean language program. Closer to home, they recognized Kim Yong-Jae, ’93, and Kyu Lee, ’00, as the Alumni of the Year.

The evenings entertainment included a performance by Korean singer and musical theater star Lisa. Not to mention a Husky sculpture carved entirely from ice.

Thanksgiving, Shenzhen Style

One of the best things about being a UW alum is that there are fellow Huskies around the world ready to celebrate the traditions you love from your time on campus. Alumni in Shenzhen gathered with alumni from eight other U.S. schools to celebrate Thanksgiving and catch up with friends.
