In a series first, UW Converge Virtual 2021 brought together five host communities for an event series like no other. The Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore Huskies each hosted events on leadership and a final keynote address featured UW President Ana Mari Cauce in conversation with UW Vice President for Student Life Denzil Suite.

Each of event offered a unique perspective on the topic of leading through change. Whether pushing the bounds of innovation or navigating times of crisis, change is something we all face. How we lead through that change has significant impacts on ourselves, the people we work with and our organizations.

Our final event of the series featured UW President Ana Mari Cauce in conversation with UW Vice President for Student Life Denzil Suite. The Evolution of Event Technology – Japan

In a time of uncertainty, one thing we can be sure of is that in much of the world, large gatherings look very different than they did two years ago. How can technology help us meet the desire for human connection? What lessons did we learn from large events like the Tokyo Olympics?
