Events & Engagements

Over the course of the 2023-24 academic year the UW will host a year-long disability awareness campaign in celebration of the 50th anniversary of a seminal piece of rights legislation: the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 containing provision 504 which established a constitutional right of disabled people to have access to public education. Activities will range from speakers in the UW Public Lecture series, a disability history exhibit, accessibility challenges, arts and performances focused on disabled artists, and much more!

The full slate of events for the year can be found on the Office of the ADA Coordinator’s calendar!
