Leader of Comeback America to speak at Evans School

David M. Walker, the founder and chief executive officer of the Comeback America Initiative, will speak at the Evans School of Public Affairs on Wednesday, April 20.

Walker leads the initiative in helping governmental policymakers and the public with fiscal imbalances and sustainability. Walkers presentation is scheduled for 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. in the Parrington Hall Commons.

Before Comeback, Walker was the first president and chief executive officer of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation. Before that, he was Comptroller General of the U.S. and head of the Government Accountability Office.

Walker also has spent more than 20 years in the private sector, including 10 years as  partner and global managing director of human capital services at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Walker has written three books, the latest published in 2010, titled Comeback America: Turning the Country around and Restoring Fiscal Responsibility.
