“The Art and Science of Poster Presentation” will be the topic of the next seminar in the Career Development series sponsored by the Education Core of the UW Institute of Translational Health Sciences.
The free seminar will take place from 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3, in Brotman Auditorium, UW Medicine South Lake Union, 815 Mercer St., Seattle. See directions.
The speaker is Dr. Carole Wilson, research assistant professor of pathology. She will give an overview of the key steps in making posters, from developing the abstract all the way to presenting your work at a poster session.
Her talk will be an introduction for those new to poster presentations, and a refresher for those more experienced in this method for communicating your research and data. Wilson will give pointers for maximizing the clarity and impact of your poster. Light refreshments will be provided.
The talk is open to all interested persons at the UW and will be web cast.
The UW Medicine South Lake Union campus is served by free, regularly scheduled shuttles to the UW and Harborview Medical Center.
The Career Development Seminar Series is funded under a federal grant from the National Center for Research Resources.
