On the program are Schumanns Fantasiestucke, Op. 12, Bachs English Suite No. 3 in G Minor, BWV 808, Bach-Busoni Chorale Prelude Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ, BWV 639, Bach-Kempff Chorale Prelude Nun Freut Euch, Lieben Christen, BWV 307 and 734 Bach-Hess Chorale Prelude Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring, BWV 147 and Schuberts 4 Impromptus, D899, Op. 90.

Dinnerstein established herself in the piano world thanks to her remarkable interpretation of Bach’s “Goldberg” Variations, performances that made critics worldwide sit up and take notice. The Julliard-trained performer has a close affinity with Bach’s compositions, and for her debut at Meany Hall she will perform a program of his work only days before the much anticipated release of her first album on Sony Classical: Bach: A Strange Beauty.

Ms. Dinnerstein is a graduate of The Juilliard School where she was a student of Peter Serkin. She was a winner of the Astral Artist National Auditions, and has twice received the Classical Recording Foundation Award. She also studied with Solomon Mikowsky at the Manhattan School of Music and in London with Maria Curcio.

Tickets are $37 ($35 for faculty/staff/alums and $20 for students). Tickets may be purchased by phone at 206-543-4880, online, or in person at the UW Arts Ticket Office.
