Volunteers needed for prostate study

Men 35 to 55 years of age are needed to participate in a two-month study of hormones used in efforts to develop a safe, effective and reversible male contraceptive (like”the pill” but for men). We will look at the effects of dihydrotestosterone on the prostate gland.

This study will be conducted at the UW’s Seattle campus. It involves the use of an investigational drug and a prostate biopsy. Volunteers will be reimbursed for their time and inconvenience.

If interested, call the volunteer line at 206-616-1818.

The study is being led by Dr. Stephanie Page, UW assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition.
