Students, alumni invited to UW Spring Career Fair April 18

All students and alumni are invited to attend the UW’s Spring Career Fair, sponsored by the Center for Career Services, held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the HUB Ballroom. Fully 3,000 students and alums are expected to attend.


More than 140 local and national employers from business and industry as well as nonprofits and governmental agencies, typically attend to fill career, internship and summer jobs.


A number of events have been scheduled in the days leading up to the Career Fair, including:


  • Career Prep Workshop, 5 to 7 p.m. April 16, in 102 Johnson. A two-hour employer panel provides an “insider perspective” on business etiquette, interships, resume writing and even how to work a career fair.
  • Retail Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Ballmer Commons, information on careers in retail management, with representatives of several companies on hand, plus a barbecue and fashion show. See details at http://bschool.washington.edu/retail/retailday/index.shtml.
  • Resumes in the 21st Century, workshops on April 13, 16, 17 and 18 in the Center for Career Serivces.
