Thank you for providing this wonderful service. I appreciate that you are a credible, objective source of information. Thank you!
I agree. Thanks.
How do I register for this webinar?
All you need to do is go to the UW home page (www.washington.edu) or this page this evening and there will be a direct link to the live Webcast, which starts at 7 p.m. You do not need to register.
Interesting post, i bookmarked your blog, best regards
I’m unable to watch the webcast tonight. I hope you will archive it so I can watch later. Thanks!
I’m unable to get the webcast to work so I’m now giving up. Perhaps you can tell me where to download the recording? Many thanks for your community help!
@Shawn
We were experiencing some instability on the webcast, and have switched to a backup system. You should have more luck viewing it now.
The direct link is: mms://media-wm.cac.washington.edu/uwtv-webcast. Go to Windows Media Player, File > open and paste that URL in.
Our apologies for the inconvenience. The archive will be available after the event.
I have tried to enter this webcast a dozen times. I would give anything to just hear be able to flip to and hear it on the radio- Sadly you aren’t broadcasting the panel discussion.
I have heard 5 min here, watched with and without sound..bummer. I’m guessing the problem is either that I use a Mac, and that internet usage is at max peak right now and I can’t get on the wave!
Cheers y’all. Thank you.
The webcast is working great for me- thanks for providing this timely and relevant service.
It’s working beautifully for me too. Kudos to the University and UWTV!
I think it was a great idea to do the simultaneous broadcast, even with the glitches. I am not always able to make it to campus but enjoy these programs. I hope we see more live broadcasts in the future!
A questionn still not unanswerard:
If some of the debt is from “investors” who were fliping houses in the market” and have walked away from their debt obligations, why have the lending institutions not required “specific performance ” on these these debet obligations rather than forclose on a property and take a loss on the negative equity position?
Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to your team for this riveting presentation. I thought there was a great balance of personalities and perspectives among the panelists, and the moderator did a nice job of not getting in the way.
I tuned in on a Mac the night of the show, on a fast connection, but found it unwatchable.
Any plans to post the show in full? I would love to have a downloadable or a restreamable version of this.
Sorry you had a bad experience. There were some initial slowdowns in the feed, but they didn’t last for most visitors. You can watch the Webcast on UWTV at http://www.uwtv.org/programs/displayevent.aspx?rID=27363
Be sure to check back Nov. 3, when we will have a different panel discussing more financial crisis issues. The videos on this page also will give you some quick answers to some pressing questions.
When will the second forum be broadcast on TVW?
Thanks for that link Web Team! Works flawlessly for me now. I may not be able to tune in on the night, but that’s fine if I can get to the show later. Thanks for your help!
Can anybody tell me if I need to register to go in person to the seminar in Nov the 3rd? I’m confused because I received an email saying that I can register online in this page but I don’t find any link.
Thank you!
Sorry, the November 3 panel discussion is sold out. UWTV will provide a live webcast of the event, and TVW will air the discussion at 9:00pm on November 5.
Just finished “How Did We Get Here, and What Does it Mean?” and I found it very informative.
