Two Honored for Academic Achievements
Jaimee Marsh and Tashina Willard were recognized for their personal and academic performance by the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity's Educational Opportunity Program. At a celebration banquet in May, Marsh, now a BASW graduate, received the President's Achievement Award, EOP's highest honor. Willard, a Merit Recipient, was cited for her outstanding work as a current BASW student.

2009 UWRA Scholarship Winner
Congratulations to Ashley Jones, this year's UW Retirement Association scholarship winner. Jones, enrolled in the Multigenerational track of her MSW program, is specializing in gerontology and the families of seniors. For three years while completing her undergraduate degree in Public Health, Jones worked at a skilled nursing home. This experience directly led to graduate study and her goal to work on issues of aging.

In 2009-10, the School celebrates its 75th anniversary! A special Web site containing a historical timeline, an opportunity to reconnect with alumni and faculty and a detailed celebration event schedule will be included.
