UWTV * ResearchChannel Celebrates Heart Month
ResearchChannel invites you to honor American Heart Month by exploring new research and science about this most vital organ. Learn the signs and symptoms of atrial fibrillation, innovative methods for tracking risk, epidemiological advances in treatment, and ground-breaking techniques for stem cell growth and heart transplantation.

Discovering Your Dependable Strengths
This two-day workshop uses a proven process for uncovering what you do best and learning new ways to use your unique excellence. Student Database (SDB) Training: Fiscal Viewing and Authorizing
Designed for staff members who use the fiscal/student accounts side of the Student Data Base (SDB), this hands-on class gives an overview of the SDB fiscal screens and navigation and provides help for those who advise, implement, and monitor departmental scholarship awards for students. New Hourly Career Counseling
One-hour career counseling sessions are now available with Training and Organization Development Consultant Susan Templeton. The charge is $80 per one-hour counseling session if paid with a UW budget number (with supervisor approval) or $92.48 if paid with cash, check, or credit card (due to a mandatory institutional overhead fee). Career counseling can help you evaluate your strengths, assess your career fit, write a résumé or cover letter, conduct an effective job search, or gear up for a job interview. Adult Eldercare Consultations
Has your mom or dad’s condition changed? Would you like to discuss the changing situation and find out about resources and services? UW’s WorkLife provides private consultations with eldercare specialists that will provide you with information and resources tailored to your specific situation. Caregiver Directory
Would you like to hire someone to watch your children after school? Are you looking for that occasional babysitter for an evening out? Does your elder loved one need some household help? Check out the UW Caregiver Directory. Accessible with a UWNetID, the directory is comprised of a list of potential employers who are looking for UW-affiliated caregivers. You can register your needs and view the listings of UW students who are looking for occasional or part-time work.

Yes, it really is time to begin planning for summer care and activities–programs fill quickly. Check out these University resources:

UW Summer Youth Programs Designed for the Elementary, Middle School and High School student, classes are taught by experienced educators and involve hands-on learning in a fun and engaging manner.

UW CareLink’s online resource, APS HelpLink, contains articles and checklists for summer camp options. Enter UW for company code, click on ‘parenting’ tab at top of page, then ‘childcare’ in the right hand column and select ‘summer camp’.

Take a fresh look at UW as seen by our students in “The Daily's Double Shot." Burgeoning journalists at UW’s student newspaper The Daily take over UWTV airwaves for their first television program on UWTV at 7 p.m. every Friday. Husky sports fans can also tune in to UWTV for Husky Classics, Husky Hoops Talk, Huskies All Access, and, coming this spring, live Husky softball games.
