KEY MESSAGE

We can do amazing things when we all pull together.

OVERALL CONCEPT

Unite our Washington community around the idea that we can do amazing things when we all pull together, using a campaign that advances the story of the ‘Boys in the Boat’ and supports today’s students who come from similar backgrounds. The ASUW Shell House is a physical manifestation of the convening and unifying power we have when we all pull together.

MESSAGING

The UW’s 1936 Olympic team’s triumph reminds us our collective strength is greater than the sum of individual efforts. Their story is the story of Seattle and of a region with humble origins, grit and aspirations for grander impact.

The team and region had to pull together during a time of hardship to win. In that spirit, our community must once again unite in support of tomorrow’s leaders and our collective progress. We know we are strongest when we work together.

The UW inspires its students to pull together to do great things. As a place where an excellent education remains affordable and accessible, today’s UW unites and empowers tomorrow’s leaders, in service to its enduring public mission.
