Come explore the great amenities spaces that Housing & Food Services has to offer!

Join us for a tour of the following:

  • The MILL, a makerspace in McCarty Hall. The MILL is a hands-on workspace where the UW community can come together to imagine, discover, innovate and responsibly create. There are 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, milling machines and much more.
    Start location: The MILL in McCarty Hall.
  • Area 01, a community center in Maple Hall. Area 01 is a community-focused interdisciplinary learning destination featuring a makerspace, music and video labs, and a gaming area.
    Start location: Area 01 in Maple Hall.
  • The 8, a community center in McMahon Hall. The 8 is a multi-use community center where students can create in the makerspace, hit the books in the study lounge or play in the games area. The center features a wood shop, metal machine shop, 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines and more.
    Start location: The 8 in McMahon Hall.
