What inspires me
Artists, makers, and culture bearers
Background
Molly currently serves as one of the Heritage: Arts & Cultures Collections Managers at the Burke Museum where I care for the Arctic, Sub-arctic, and Plateau communities’ belongings. She holds an MA in Museology from UW and a BA in Sociology from the University of Dayton. Prior to her current role, Molly spent 4 years as the Assistant Collections Manger at the School for Advanced Research in Santa Fe, New Mexico working on community centered collections projects and exhibitions. And this is not her first time at the Burke! Right out of Museology Molly worked as a Collections Move Assistant packing and transporting the Arts & Cultures collection into the current building. Molly loves connecting people with collections, exploring ways to break down barriers to access, noodling about how to write good policies, and sharing her love of storage mount making.
