Biography

Annie is a graduate student at the University of Washington pursuing their MA in Museology and a graduate certificate in Historic Preservation. They are from the Maryland suburbs north of Washington D.C., spoiled for choice by free museums. Their love of history, carpentry, and connecting with other people over their niche hobbies led them to Museology at UW, where their focus has been in community engagement, exhibition design, and labor history. Annie’s upcoming projects revolve around best practices for communicating complex industrial histories to intergenerational visitor groups through engaging and accessible exhibition design. They hope to merge their background in public education with their passion for connecting with local communities to expand the reach of historic and culturally significant sites.
