Mobile applications at the UW

Interested in publishing an application in the University of Washington’s official mobile applications stores? Use this website to learn more about the process, expectations, and submit your request for access to both Apple and Google Play stores.

Publishing a mobile application to the University of Washington’s app stores involves a series of steps designed to ensure quality, security, accessibility, and alignment with institutional standards. This page outlines the process and requirements for submitting your application to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store under the University’s official accounts.

Before beginning, please review the expectations outlined below. All applications must meet UW’s branding, security, and accessibility standards. Sponsors and developers are responsible for completing the required forms, securing necessary approvals, and ensuring their applications comply with University policies.

The University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) Web Strategy team manages the UW app store presence and is available to assist with the logistics of publishing. However, please note that the team does not provide application development services, code reviews, or technical consultation.
