Join UW Libraries for a lively webinar with renowned author and the 2020 Maxine Cushing Gray Fellowship recipient, Susan Orlean. A Staff writer for The New Yorker, Orlean is the author of many books, including The Library Book, The Orchid Thief, Rin Tin Tine: The Life and the Legend and Saturday Night. Orlean will discuss The Library Book, her writing style and the role of libraries in her life and writing. She will be interviewed by Maria Semple, a Seattle local, New York Times bestselling author, and screenwriter.
