CUCAC January 2015 Meeting
The City University Advisory Committee (CUCAC) will hold its January meeting on Tuesday, January 13th.
Items on the agenda include an overview of the City’s Comprehensive Plan amendments, an update on the South Campus Study II, and a draft schedule for the 2018 Campus Master Plan.

UW drama program makes College Magazine’s Top 10 list
Theater majors, listen up: College Magazine just named the University of Washington School of Drama in its Top 10 Major Universities for Drama Kids. The article, out this month, praises the drama program’s extensive curriculum in directing, acting, and design – as well as its integration with courses in theater criticism, history, play analysis, and special industry topics. Not only that, but many alumni (including Seattle native Joel McHale) have come back to share their experiences with students.

Holiday social brings show of support for the neighborhood

University District Partnership board members and guests attended a neighborhood holiday gathering on December 16th. Schultzy’s Sausage hosted the event, where the festivities included showing some heartfelt support for the new Business Improvement Association (BIA).


UW architecture students to design, build waterfront pavilion at Pier 58
The UW Department of Architecture was asked to design and build a new facility to serve as a community gathering space on the waterfront at Pier 58. The project is set to open in summer of 2015, and will include a performance stage. Read more about it here.
