Upcoming City of Seattle Community Emergency Hub meetings

The City if Seattle’s Emergency Management Department created Community Emergency Hubs to help neighbors prepare for potential major emergencies or natural disasters.  These groups of people work together to prepare to share information and resources in the event of a wide-spread emergency situation.  There are over 50 Hubs organized across the city, and to learn more about how Hubs work or to find one in your area, check out one of these upcoming meetings:

March 24 from 6-8pm at the Montlake Community Center – 1618 East Calhoun Street, 98112

March 25 from 10am. – noon at the Jefferson Community Center – 3801 Beacon Avenue South, 98108

Dine out this Thursday March 19th to benefit U District Food Bank

Thursday, March 19th is a great opportunity to benefit the U District Food Bank by dining out at one of the following Seattle restaurants: Eastlake Bar & Grill, Greenlake Bar & Grill, or Lake Forest Park Bar & Grill. Have dinner at any one of these locations, and at least half of your bill will go to the U District Food Bank.

Be sure to mark your calendar and invite your family, friends, and co-workers for happy hour, dinner, or just some quality time watching the NCAA basketball tournament. The event is hosted by the Neighborhood Bar & Grill Restaurant Group.

Wineries, Distilleries, Cideries, Breweries & Foodtrucks featured need to be in their first three years of releasing products.This event is the place to be on the cutting edge of who the rising stars are in our area! Enthusiasts will also enjoy live music, featuring the DEBUT of Saint Claire’s Sixknot Strings!

This event is sponsored by the University Sunrise Rotary in conjunction with Seattle Uncorked, for the University Foodbank. Funds raised will help the University Food Bank provide “Packs For Kids” – a program that supports families who need nutritious meals for children at risk of going hungry on weekends, through local schools. Event produced by Wine Events & promoted by Seattle Uncorked.
