UW architecture grad curates houseboat exhibit

Erin Feeney, ’12, wrote a book about Seattle’s floating homes while working toward her master’s degree in architecture at the UW. Now she has curated an exhibit on the same subject at the Museum of History and Industry. The exhibit runs until Nov. 3.
Weekend Activities @ the Burke

Starting September 7-8 and continuing every weekend through June 2014, visitors to the Burke Museum can take part in “Best of the Burke” guided tours and participate in hands-on activities on different themes with crafts to take home. Free parking available.

Register now for Park In The Dark!, a nighttime hike through the UW Arboretum on Saturday, August 31, from 7:30 – 9 pm. This environmental education event includes activities for children ages 6-12 and cost is $8/person.
Free workshop on building global citizens

The classroom as a springboard for global awareness will the be the topic of a free August 30 workshop at UW Seattle. Primarily designed for high school teachers but others are welcome to attend. RSVP required. UW alum Rick Steves,’78, is keynote speaker.
