Conference Policies

Registration and refunds

  • If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us in writing via email.
  • Full Refund: Cancellations received by May 31,2024 will receive a full refund.
  • Partial Refund: Cancellations received by July 24, 2024 will receive a 50% refund.
  • No Refund: Cancellations received after July 24,2024 will not be eligible for a refund.

Inclement Weather

  • We recognize that inclement weather such as a typhoon or rainstorm may affect the operations of our event during August.
  • Our team will be monitoring the situation and provide timely updates on inclement weather if it impacts our program.
  • When the Hong Kong Observatory has issued Typhoon Signal Number 8, 9, 10 or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal within 48 hours of our event time, Converge Hong Kong’s programming may be delayed or postponed. All registrations will be transferred forward towards rescheduled programming.
  • If the Hong Kong Observatory has issued Typhoon Signal Number 3 or Red Rainstorm Warning Signal or lower, Converge Hong Kong will proceed as scheduled. Note there are no Signal Numbers between 3 and 8

Visa Information

Travelers from most countries will not be required to apply for a visa or entry permit to enter Hong Kong. For more detailed information about visas and entry procedures please visit the Hong Kong Immigration Department’s website.

Electricity & voltage

According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board, “The standard electrical voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts AC, 50Hz. Most hotel bathrooms also have outlets for 100 volts, but if not, you will need a transformer for any appliance or electrical equipment. The majority of electrical outlets in Hong Kong take a three-pronged UK-style plug.”
