Headshot: Rai Nauman MumtazWhy I Serve

I was accepted by both UW Seattle and Tacoma. Having lived in Tacoma for many years, my identity resonated and felt in place within that community. At UW Tacoma, I served in student government including student body president. I’ve seen how the UW community has grown. UW Bothell and Tacoma are on par with the Seattle campus. While they all have somewhat different cultures, the mission is the same – provide students with affordable access and opportunities.

The alumni experience is a continuation of your time as a Husky student. Whether you’re a transfer student, continuing education, graduate level or enrolled at any of the campuses, we are all stakeholders. As a trustee, I want to help everyone find their niche and make the experience their own.
