What You Need to Register (one of the following):
A current Washington state driver license, or
A current Washington state ID card

Upcoming Washington State Election Dates

Spring 2020 — *Special Election
Friday, April 10, 2020: Start of 18-day voting period (through Election Day). Ballots are mailed out and Accessible Voting Units (AVUs) are available at voting centers.
Monday, April 20, 2020: Online and mail registrations must be received 8 days before Election Day. Register to vote in person during business hours and any time before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
(Election Day) Tuesday, April 28, 2020: Special Election – Deposit your ballot in an official drop box by 8 p.m. Deadline for Washington State voter registration (in person only).

*Special elections are often missed, but they are opportunities to vote on the local issues that affect us most, like tax propositions, school boards, government structures and municipal measures outside of primary and general elections.

Summer 2020 — Primary
Friday, July 17, 2020: Start of 18-day voting period (through Election Day). Ballots are mailed out and Accessible Voting Units (AVUs) are available at voting centers.
Friday, July 27, 2020: Online and mail registrations must be received 8 days before Election Day. Register to vote in person during business hours and any time before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
(Election Day) Tuesday, August 4, 2020: Primary – Deposit your ballot in an official drop box by 8 p.m. Deadline for Washington State voter registration or updates (in person only).

Fall 2020 — General Election
Friday, October 16, 2020: Start of 18-day voting period (through Election Day). Ballots are mailed out and Accessible Voting Units (AVUs) are available at voting centers.
