Transportation projects affecting UW will be topic of Jan. 10 meeting

The Regional Transit Task Force will hold a town-hall-style meeting Jan. 10 in Kane Hall to open a dialogue between major Seattle transportation stakeholders and community members, including UW students and neighbors.

The event, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in Kanes Walker-Ames Room and titled “Let’s Talk Transportation,” will feature the presentation of information regarding projects that will impact the UW area in the near future as well as a question and answer session with the panelists.

The panelists will be Josh Kavanagh,  UW director of transportation; Larry Yok, vice president for administration at Highline Community College; Tom Rasmussen, Seattle City Council member; Kate Joncas, past chair of the International Downtown Association; John Howell, former assistant director in the City of Seattle Office of Management and Budget, and Victor Obeso, manager of service development for King County Metro.
