Summer Shuffle: A book sale and swap at the Henry July 24

The Henry Art Gallery will hold a summer book sale featuring exhibit catalogs, artist biographies, art history and theory texts and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, in the Sculpture Court. They’re calling it the Summer Shuffle.

It’s a book swap, too — the Henry encourages visitors to bring in their own art books to exchange for books on hand, which have been donated by a variety of individuals and organizations over the years. Any fine art book in good condition is eligible for swapping, one for one.

Periodicals, zines, monographs and quarterly reviews on art and literature also will be on sale.

The event will also feature readings from area poets Nico Vassilakis, Crystal Curry, Joel Felix, and Jean Heuving in the James Turrell Skyspace at noon and 2 p.m.

Books remaining after the sale will be donated to the Friends of the Seattle Public Library and Books to Prisoners.
