UW Mini-Medical School begins Feb. 2


UW Medicine’s 2010 Mini-Medical School is a series of lectures of interest to the general public. Get an inside view of medical care. Topics include patient communication, medical breakthroughs, new approaches to pain, body regeneration after trauma or infection, genetic links to cancer, and high-risk pregnancies.


The program begins at 7 p.m. on six consecutive Tuesdays from Feb. 2 to March 9 in the Health Sciences Center, Hogness auditorium. Series hosts are Dr. Joann Elmore, UW professor of medicine and head of general internal medicine at Harborview, and Dr. Hugh Foy, UW professor of medicine and director of the Surgical Specialties Clinic at Harborview.


Seating is limited and registration is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
