2007 Distinguished Faculty Lecture to air on UWTV

The 2007 Distinguished Faculty Lecture with Dr. Christopher Murray will be available for viewing on UWTV beginning Friday, Feb. 29, at 9 p.m. Murray, UW global health professor and director of the new Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, presented the lecture “Evaluating the performance of national medical care and public health systems” on Oct. 4, 2007. A world-renowned physician and health economist, Murray helped develop a landmark way to measure death, disability and risk factors related to disease in both developing and developed countries. The Distinguished Faculty Lecture was sponsored by Office of the Dean, School of Public Health and Community Medicine; UW Medicine, School of Medicine, Office of Research and Graduate Education.


The lecture will air on UWTV on the following dates.


  • Friday, February 29, at 9 p.m.
  • Monday, March 3, at 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 8, at 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 11, at 10 a m.
