Sound Transit
Light rail at the UW and U District

Sound Transit is planning to build a 21-mile light rail system from Sea-Tac to the University District with two stations on the University of Washington Campus. This web site has general information about the project's impacts to the University.

Important Notice

Sound Transit approved budget and schedule changes in the fall of 2000, and is considering alignment changes for the light rail system. The impacts these potential changes have on the University's Memorandum of Agreement with Sound Transit have not been fully determined. It is possible that elements of the MOA will be amended.

Information on this site may not reflect Sound Transit's most current planning. It is posted here as courtesy information only. For the most current information, please visit Sound Transit's web site at www.soundtransit.org.
