Recent donation doubles number of rare music scores in UW Music Library

The recent donation of 720 rare classical music scores nearly doubles the UW’s collection of printed rare music scores. Comprised mostly of first editions or first printings, they feature examples from almost every period of vocal music history..

History and theater converge in Drama Library collection

The Sayre Collection in the UW Drama Library consists of more than 24,000 photographs of theatrical and vaudeville performers, musicians, and entertainers who played in Seattle between about 1900 and 1955. The Drama Library is open Monday-Friday June 24-August 23. Public welcome.

Public comment on U District extended

Based on feedback from a public hearing on May 20,  the deadline for written comments about the UDistrict Urban Design Draft Environmental Impact Statement has been extended from June 9 to June 23. Materials from the public hearing are now posted to the Seattle Department of Planning & Development website.
