Join fellow Huskies for food, fun and friendship—in the heart of wine country! Did you know that many wineries in Walla Walla are Husky-owned and operated? Explore Washington’s celebrated wine region and raise a glass to the purple and gold during a casual weekend of wine tasting.

A Friday night Husky wine social will be followed by a leisurely Saturday exploring Walla Walla’s wineries with a UW connection. Take part in one event or both.

Tickets are $20 for each event, $15 for UWAA members (must be 21 and older, please bring valid ID to ensure entrance to each event).

Wine Tour
Saturday, April 1, 12–5 p.m.
Various Husky wineries in Walla Walla

Tickets include tastings at eight Husky-owned and operated wineries. A shuttle will provide rides to locations central to the wineries throughout the day, though some walking will be necessary. Explore any of the wineries at your leisure.

For those who opt to purchase cases of wine at any of the designated wineries, free pick-up and delivery of your cases of wine to the Courtyard Marriott in Walla Walla that afternoon will be available.

Wine Tour Transportation: Shuttles will run from three convenient stops during the event. Some wineries might require a five to 10 minute walk from the nearest stop, so weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes are highly recommended.

We encourage responsible wine touring and recommend that you utilize the provided shuttle service, make arrangements with a local cab company or that you have a designated driver.

Accommodations: Book a room by March 1 at the Courtyard Marriott Walla Walla to get a discounted rate of $139 (normally $179). Make your reservation by calling 509-876-8100 and requesting the “UW Alumni Association block” — or by using this link.

Alaska Airline’s Taste and Tote: If you fly using Alaska Airlines, you can check your first case of wine for free as part of their Taste and Tote program. Visit tasteandtote.com to learn more.
