The Seattle Art Museum (1300 1st Ave, Seattle) is opening for an exclusive party for UWAA members and their guests. Drop in between 6 and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, for Member Night at the Seattle Art Museum!

The new exhibit Yves Saint Laurent: The Perfection of Style showcases highlights from the legendary designer’s 44-year career. Enjoy an open house–style reception (including hosted appetizers and a cash bar), photo booth and other activities, with full museum access and staggered entry into the exhibit. At 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., you’ll hear from award-winning costume designer Melanie Burgess, M.F.A. 2002, who will talk about the concept of creativity and how she brings her designs to life.
With a selection of over 100 haute couture and SAINT LAURENT rive gauche garments as well as many accessories, photographs, drawings, films, and other multimedia elements from the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent collection’s vast archive, Yves Saint Laurent: The Perfection of Style is a visually rich environment within which to witness the development of Saint Laurent’s style. Beginning in 1953 with the Paper Doll Couture House created when he was a teenager and shown here for the first time in the US, the exhibition is a journey from Saint Laurent’s first days at Dior in 1955, through his groundbreaking designs of the 1960s and 70s and the splendor of his last two decades of work before he retired in 2002.
