UW Impact

Be a UW Impact advocate

I grew up in Tacoma when it still had more of a small-town feel. I had no idea how I was going to afford college. The night before my high school graduation, I received word that I’d been awarded a scholarship for freshman year, and I spent the next four years working on-campus to help put myself through school.

The UW was a big, new world for me. It was a bit overwhelming, but also exciting. I met people from all over the world that brought value to me for a lifetime. Our alumni have many differing perspectives, but one thing on which we all agree: we love the University of Washington and we want it to remain strong for generations to come.

Join me today by signing up to be a UW Impact advocate. UW Impact is the UW Alumni Association’s legislative advocacy program. Since 2011, alumni voices have helped bring state support to some of the University’s top priorities, including affordable tuition and access to high-demand degrees. UW Impact will tell you exactly when your voice will have the most impact and give you the tools to do it.

Last year, UW Impact advocates helped pass a historic piece of legislation, one that will mean free tuition for thousands of Washington students. It’s our responsibility as alumni to pay it forward and preserve this investment for today and beyond.

Join us. Together, we will build a better future for tomorrow’s Huskies.

Go Huskies!
