We hope you will join us for our Annual Scholarship Celebration and Lecture. We will introduce and award scholarships of to 4 deserving UW undergraduates. It’s always a heartwarming evening, often with a few tears, as each student shares their story and their hopes for the future.
What Gives Life Meaning and Purpose?
Our lecture speaker, Kunal Taravade, is a technology professional with extensive experience in computer chip design and product leadership. He has authored numerous scientific papers and holds more than 25 U.S. patents, reflecting a career dedicated to innovation, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kunal is a thoughtful speaker who is passionate about leadership, purpose, and personal growth. In his presentation, A Purposeful Life, he explores one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves: What gives life meaning and purpose?
Through the inspiring story of a nineteenth-century Indian reformer, Kunal examines how vision, determination, and commitment to higher ideals can create a lasting impact on society and future generations, and how it did impact the Indian Constitution of 1949 and Women’s Rights in modern Independent India.
