DISCRIMINATION?
WE WILL INVESTIGATE HOW YOUTH
GROUPS (ALSO REFERRED TO
AS GANGS) DEVELOPED METHODS TO
EXPRESS THEIR SOCIAL DISCONTENT AND
DEMANDS FOR EQUAL RIGHTS AND
JUSTICE. THE COURSE WILL FOCUS ON
AFRICAN AMERICAN, LATINO/A, ASIAN
AMERICAN, AND NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH
ACTIVISM BETWEEN 1965 AND 1975.
THE GREATER GOAL OF THIS CLASS IS
TO HELP CONTEXTUALIZE THE IMPACT OF

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EQUALITY AND
