What is the status of proposed revisions to the Student Conduct Code?
Proposed revisions to the current Chapter 478-121 WAC, Student Conduct Code for the University of Washington, were published on August 5, 2026, initiating a public comment period through August 25, 2026. After reviewing written comments and comments received at a public hearing on August 25, 2026, President Jones announced additional time for review and feedback on the proposed revisions.

The extended comment period will open on October 21, 2026, and close on December 10, 2026.

Students: Listening sessions will be organized and promoted by the student government of their respective campus.
Staff, students, and faculty: An online feedback form will open on October 21 for anyone who would like to submit comments to the UW Policy and Rules Office.
