Honoring Bill Neukom, chair of the Initiative’s external advisory board
We mourn the passing of Bill Neukom, a visionary legal leader and philanthropist, who left a profound legacy through his decades-long connection to the University of Washington and his global advocacy for justice. From his early legal career in Seattle to his pivotal role at Microsoft and founding of the World Justice Project, Bill was a steadfast champion for the rule of law and public service.
His generosity and leadership deeply impacted the UW, including in his role as Chair of the Population Health Initiative’s External Advisory Board, a position in which he was serving at the time of his passing. Bill’s wisdom, humility and enduring commitment to the public good will continue to inspire generations to come.
