UW School of Nursing establishes a Center for Antiracism in Nursing

Image of a nurseAcknowledging how systemic racism has led to adverse health outcomes and inequities, the UW School of Nursing has established the Center for Antiracism in Nursing.

The center will disseminate antiracist teaching practices and curriculum, foster community partnerships, and support historically marginalized groups. It will also host listening sessions and convene an advisory committee to inform its efforts to increase equity in healthcare.

The School of Nursing aims to serve as a nationally leader in dismantling systemic racism within healthcare, promote diversity, and advance social justice.
