UW ranked 19th on Center for World University Rankings 2018 list
The University of Washington is ranked number 19 in the world, according to a new list released by the Center for World University Rankings. This is an increase of six spots for the UW from its ranking of number 25 on the list last year.
The center evaluates universities based on the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members and the quality of their research. The methodology has been refined from prior years, with research now accounting for 70 percent of the total score.
