Peter Catron

Assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and faculty affiliate of the Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology at the University of Washington

Peter Catron is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and faculty affiliate of the Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology at the University of Washington. He holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Catron’s research focuses on the socioeconomic mobility of immigrants who entered the United States in the first half of the twentieth century. His research has been published in journals including American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, and the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies.
