UW Medicine now scheduling Phase 1B vaccinations (Updated 03/05/21)

UPDATE 03/05/21: UW Medicine has resumed scheduling first-dose COVID-19 vaccine appointments for people on its waitlist. Please follow the instructions at uw.edu/coronavirus/vaccines to join the waitlist.

Earlier update 01/26/21: UW Medicine has paused scheduling first-dose COVID-19 vaccine appointments due to a lack of supply. It will resume scheduling first-dose appointments when it has a stable supply of vaccine from the Washington State Department of Health.

Original post:

UW Medicine is now scheduling vaccinations for individuals who qualify under Phase 1B – Tier 1 of the state’s vaccination plan.

This first group of Phase 1B includes individuals who are 65 years of age and older and those who are 50 years of age and older living in a multigenerational (two or more generations) household, defined as:

  • People who are 50 and older AND are not able to live independently, who either:
    • Are receiving long-term care from a paid or unpaid caregiver, or
    • Are living with someone who works outside the home
  • People who are 50 and older AND are living with and caring for a grandchild, niece or nephew

How to make an appointment

UW Medicine employees: Follow the instructions at The Huddle to schedule your appointment through the employee vaccine survey. Please do not use the patient process.

UW Medicine patients and UW employees who meet the criteria above:

  • Online self-scheduling: The fastest option for getting an appointment is to go to mychart.uwmedicine.org to access UW Medicine’s online scheduling tools. If you don’t already have an account, you can sign up at mychart.uwmedicine.org.
  • Call or text (844) 520-8700: Eligible patients will be put in line to receive a call back to make an appointment. Appointments will be made only during the call back.

Due to limited vaccine supplies, long wait times are anticipated. Thank you for your patience.
