UW Libraries Borrowers Card

The University of Washington Libraries is the largest library collection in the Pacific Northwest, with more than 9 million books and more. UW Alumni Association members enjoy borrowing and select entry privileges across the UW Libraries system, including at UW Bothell and Tacoma!

Current UW Alumni Association members may enter select library buildings* as long as they have a library account, their current UWAA card (either the physical version OR the electronic version in the UWAA app), and a photo ID with them. Please note that library accounts must be issued by Library Account Services during their regular business hours prior to their visit.

Online access to UW Libraries journals:

As a UWAA member, you have access to EBSCO Academic Search Alumni Edition online journals through your membership . The Libraries’ contracts for online journals are separate from the UWAA’s.

The Libraries licenses and agreements with publishers for access to online journals limit access to current students, faculty and staff of the University. The Libraries cannot expand remote access to the online journals without being in violation of those agreements.

* For questions or concerns regarding access and privileges of a UW Library Borrowers Card, visit the Libraries’ website or contact them at libaccts@uw.edu or call 206-543-1174.
