Summer finds the majestic countryside at its loveliest and the cities at their liveliest. See Elsinore, infamous setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, then learn about recent Danish authors at the Karen Blixen Museum. Catch the ferry overnight to Oslo, then stay at a medieval farm turned hotel in Hundorp. Journey to Geiranger along Norway’s “roof,” enjoying views of dramatic Geirangerfjord. Take the ferry to picturesque Bergen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way to Lofthus, experience the breathtaking Western Fjord District.
