Taipei is bringing the University of Washington’s global community together for an inspiring gathering in 2027. Join alumni, partners and friends from around the world to engage with University leadership, explore the ideas shaping our future and experience the energy of the UW on a global stage. Converge Taipei will be hosted in partnership with the Taiwan Huskies who are excited to host the global Husky community and last hosted Converge in 2019.
This annual tradition is an outpost of Husky spirit abroad, not to mention an unmatched opportunity to connect with UW faculty and leadership. All are invited to be a part of UW’s global community and leave equipped with new knowledge and networks.

At the UW Converge Summit, leading experts and innovators will explore the ideas and forces shaping our shared future. University of Washington faculty will join distinguished alumni and industry leaders to examine topics spanning technology and innovation, healthy aging and wellness, and Taiwan’s evolving role in the region and global economy. This dynamic program offers a unique opportunity to hear perspectives from across sectors while highlighting the connections between the UW, Taiwan and the global Husky community.

The UW Converge Taipei Summit & Reception will take place at W Taipei. Be at the center of the weekend’s activities by reserving your stay through our UW Converge room block at the special rate of 8,000.00 TWD/night. W Taipei brings a bold contemporary style, skyline views and vibrant energy to the heart of Taipei’s Xinyi District, just blocks from Taipei 101. The single rate includes one hotel breakfast and the double rate includes two breakfasts.

About UW Converge
UW Converge Event Series
UW Converge is the University of Washington’s signature international event for alumni and friends. Each year it is hosted in a global city by one of our international alumni communities and UW’s International Advancement team. It offers direct connection to the UW, its faculty and leadership, and its global alumni network. It is an outpost of Husky Spirit, a place to gain cutting-edge knowledge from experts, and a link to the University’s work and initiatives.
Conference Policies
Registration and refunds
Registrations canceled before 12/25/2026 are eligible for a full refund.
Registrations canceled before 2/17/2027 are eligible for a 50-percent refund.
Registrations canceled on or after 2/17/2027 will not be refunded.

International Advancement
UW Converge is organized by the University of Washington’s International Advancement team, headed by Ray Li, Assistant Vice President for International Advancement. Each year, we collaborate closely with our host chapter to plan UW Converge. Our team is dedicated to fostering meaningful engagement for international alumni and friends while nurturing a spirit of philanthropy aligned with the University’s mission to create positive impact for Washington and for the world.
