Gather and connect over sweet treats at the beach!

As the sun sets on Member Appreciation Month, you’re invited to celebrate with the pack at this casual, family-friendly event. The UW Alumni Association will be dishing out free scoops at Ben & Jerry’s Alki Beach Ice Cream Shop, co-owned by UWAA members Mark Mullet, ’08, and Jonathan Stebbins. Weather permitting, join us across the street at Alki Beach Park for games and giveaways.

• Scooping begins at 6 p.m.
• UWAA life members and BECU cardholders receive a special gift, courtesy of BECU (while supplies last).
• Advance registration required. Sign up for you and a guest to each receive 1 FREE ice cream scoop (cone or cup).
• Additional scoops & drinks available for purchase.

UWAA events and programs are open to everyone regardless of race, sex or other identity.

Member Appreciation Month is presented by longtime partner BECU. It’s our way of thanking our 60,000-strong community of Huskies for their continued support.

Spring UW Campus Food Drive

Better Together is in full swing! Together, the UWAA and BECU are partnering to make sure no Huskies go hungry.

Collection bins for UW campus food pantries will be on-site at our April member events, and in the UWAA Washington Commons lobby through April 30.

Know before you go

• Limited street parking is available in the neighborhood. (You may end up walking a few blocks.)
• Metro Bus Lines 50 and 56 have stops near Ben & Jerry’s Alki Beach Ice Cream Shop.
• Rain or shine, we’ll be there with scoops and prizes!
