Meet our culinary hosts

Tam Nguyen | Owner, Tamarind Tree
Tam Nguyen is a restaurateur, cultural ambassador, and community leader who has significantly shaped Seattle’s Vietnamese dining landscape. Tam is a neighborhood advocate through Friends of Little Saigon and is founder of the Vietnam Scholarship Fund, which supports students from rural Vietnam through elementary through professional degrees of education. He attended the University of Washington from 1982-1986 and is a proud member of the UW Alumni Association.

Marissa Dineen, ’91, ’97 | Owner/Operator, Dineen Vineyards
Dineen Vineyards is a family-owned estate tucked into the rolling hills of Washington’s Yakima Valley. Founded in 2001 by Patrick and Lanie Dineen, it is now led by their daughter, UWAA life member Marissa Dineen. Marissa’s first career in banking took her around the world, but eventually the Northwest tugged at her. Marissa now works day to day as a vintner and champion of Dineen Vineyards and the Rattlesnake Hills AVA where it is situated.
