Adapting to an AI-driven future

In November, the Indonesia Huskies hosted an evening exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming the way companies work, create and innovate. Alumni and professionals gathered at the tiket.com office for a panel discussion, Q&A and networking dinner with industry leaders across technology and business.
A warm welcome in Jakarta

Also in November, Gigi Do, the UW’s Director of International Advancement, visited Indonesia, where Bernt Ramli, ’95, hosted her and a dozen Indonesia Huskies at his restaurant, Rempah Bistro. The group enjoyed wonderful time of connection and amazing cuisine.
Toronto is a go

The November events continued on the other side of the Pacific when UW International Advancement’s Marianne Kim, ’18, visited a gathering of UW Alumni in Toronto.
Shipspotting in Singapore

Singapore Husky, Tracy Zhang, ’21, snapped this photo of the R/V Thomas G. Thompson while it traveled around Asia. The ship is operated by the UW’s School of Oceanography as a part of the United States Academic Research Fleet, within University National Oceanographic Laboratories System.
Strengthening nursing ties in Taipei

As the year wrapped up, Miffy Yen, ’09, president of the Taiwan Huskies, welcomed Hilaire Thompson, dean of the UW School of Nursing, to Taipei. Their visit focused on strengthening connections between the School of Nursing and UW alumni in Taiwan.ion

The Indonesia Huskies made sure everyone’s winter was merry and bright with a digital holiday card celebrating the many wonderful gatherings they hosted in 2025.

Husky’s art takes flight

In March, Hong Kong artist Victor Wong, ’89, saw his artwork take flight as part of Cathay Pacific’s 80th anniversary celebration. His bold design transformed a Boeing 777 into a flying tribute to Hong Kong, bringing local artistry to travelers worldwide. Get the full story.
