University of Washington employing officials may employ minors in compliance with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) regulations. These regulations establish recordkeeping requirements and restrict the type of work a minor may perform and the hours a minor may work.
