The charge of the Tri-Campus Advisory Committee (TCAC) , a standing committee, formed by Provost Lee Huntsman, on Janaury 5, 1999, is to provide advocacy and vision for the three-campus University of Washington. To accomplish this task, the Committee is to consider such topics and issues as:

  • Encouraging collaboration and linkages between and amoung the campuses.

  • Facilitating student enrollments across campuses; e.g., taking a major on one campus, and minor on another.

  • Assisting/coordinating activities, as appropriate, with various other committees, councils, and groups.

  • Supporting new program development involving UW Bothell and UW Tacoma by recommending policies and processes that facilitate program development, approval, and initiation.

  • Recommending policies that expedite various other processes, such as curriculum approvals and program review, as they are applied cross the three campuses.
